Canons RF-Mount EOS C400 6K Vollformat-Digital-Kinokamera integriert einen neuen 6K Vollformat, rückseitig beleuchteten CMOS-Sensor, der dreifache ISO-Basen von 800, 3200 und 12.800 für unterschiedliche Lichtverhältnisse bietet.

Dieser Sensor minimiert Rauschen, verbessert die Empfindlichkeit und erhöht die 4K-Bildqualität durch 6K-Oversampling. Er unterstützt verschiedene Aufnahmeformate, einschließlich 6K60 Cinema RAW und mehrere 12-Bit Cinema RAW Light Modi sowie 10-Bit 4:2:2 oversampled 4K bis zu 120p und Zeitlupenaufnahmen bis zu UHD 4K120 und 2K180.

Die Kamera verfügt über CFexpress Typ-B und SD-Kartensteckplätze für gleichzeitige Rawaufnahmen und Proxy-Erfassung. ND-Filteranpassungen von bis zu 10 Blendenstufen sind möglich, um die Schärfentiefe zu erhalten. Das kurze Auflagemaß des RF-Mounts macht die Kamera geeignet für Gimbal-, Handheld- oder Drohneneinsatz. Der verbesserte Dual-Pixel-Autofokus verfolgt präzise Motive und erkennt Tiere.

Schnittstellen wie 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HDMI, duale Mini-XLR, Timecode, Genlock und Rückvideoanschlüsse sind enthalten, zusammen mit einem automatischen Clear-Scan-Modus zur Reduzierung von LED-Flimmern. Ergonomische Verbesserungen umfassen einen Touchscreen-LCD, eine verstellbare Halterung und einen beweglichen Handgriff mit zuweisbaren Tasten. Ethernet und Canons IP-Protokolle ermöglichen Fernsteuerung und IP-Streaming, kompatibel mit Canon RCCA für Multikamerasteuerung.
