Aputure INFINIMAT 2X4 KIT

The Aputure INFINIMAT 2X4 is a 122 x 63.5 cm full-color LED mat mounted in an inflatable softbox. It gives you a large, even soft source for key, fill or overhead light, and the softbox takes up less space on set than a frame with diffusion. Both the mat and the control box are IP65-rated, so rain and dust on location are no problem.

Light and color

The RGBWW engine covers 2000 to 10,000 K with green/magenta adjustment, CRI 96+ and TLCI 97+. In addition to CCT, you get HSIC+, xy, gel and pixel modes, and the light dims smoothly down to 0.1%. The mat has four individually addressable pixels you can control via DMX, for example for gradients or moving light effects.

• With softbox: 11,250 lux at 1 m, 1,247 lux at 3 m
• With softbox and grid: 7,010 lux at 1 m, 988 lux at 3 m

Softbox, skirt and grid

The Air Pump Mini inflates the softbox in about 50 seconds. A fully inflated softbox holds its shape for up to 7 days. You can leave the deflated softbox on the mat when you pack up. The skirt attaches with tabs and has zippers at the corners, so you can adjust each side individually to shape the light. The grid narrows the beam further and keeps spill off the background.

400 W control box and power

The head cable lets you place the control box up to 7.5 m from the mat, and the K-Mount clamp mounts it on a stand. The box runs on AC power (100 to 240 V, 6 m powerCON TRUE1 cable) or on two V-mount batteries. For full output on batteries you need two 26 V batteries; a single 26 V battery gives half power. Batteries that can't deliver enough current will trigger the box's protection circuit. A status light on the box shows whether the mat is running at full or half power. The box is actively cooled and runs at 24.7 dBA with the fan on medium and 29.3 dBA on high.

Control

You can control the light from the box display, from the Sidus Link app over Bluetooth, via CRMX (both up to 100 m), via DMX/RDM over 5-pin XLR, or via sACN and Art-Net over the network port.

Mounting

The carbon fiber mounting bracket clips into the mat's four corners. The K-Mount arm locks onto it and lets you adjust tilt and rotation. The mat weighs 4.8 kg, the softbox 1.22 kg.
