The aktiv8 Sideload Fluid Head uses Sachtler’s innovative SpeedLevel technology to provide near-instant mounting and leveling of your camera rig on select Sachtler tripods. The SpeedLevel clamp and bolt system saves valuable time when leveling your camera rig by eliminating the need to screw on a locking knob. Designed for documentary, news and corporate productions, the aktiv8 supports rigs weighing up to 26.5 pounds. This fluid head with 75mm ball base features 15 levels of counterbalance and seven levels of pan and tilt resistance adjustment, as well as zero settings for counterbalance and resistance.
SpeedLevel technology replaces the traditional head screw and mounting system with a strong clamp integrated into the head shell and a bolt that attaches to the tripod shell or other mounting platform, such as a slider. Simply grab the large lever on the head and pull up to release the clamp, then push down to lock the head in place. By partially lifting the lever, you can quickly and easily level the head.
