Voice Technologies VT701MKII Headset Microphone Beige with TRS Connector

The Voice Technologies VT701MKII is a very light headworn microphone with a tiny omnidirectional capsule. The capsule stays at the same distance from the mouth even when the speaker turns their head, so levels stay consistent. That makes it a good fit for presenting, panel discussions, stage and theater, and broadcast: anywhere the level from a chest-mounted lav would fluctuate too much or the mic needs to stay discreet.

Fit and comfort

The thin headband and ear hooks adjust to fit your head, and the boom can be worn on either side. Place the capsule near the corner of the mouth rather than right in front of it. That keeps speech clear with fewer plosives.

Connection

Our version ends in a screw-locking 3.5 mm TRS plug for Deity or Sennheiser wireless systems. The 1.2 m cable is detachable. The electret capsule is powered by the bodypack transmitter’s bias voltage (0.8 to 5 V). With a maximum SPL of 125 dB, it also handles loud voices and singing.

Included

Two foam windscreens, the Duplex windscreen and the smaller Duplex miniature windscreen, reduce wind and breath noise. Always use one when shooting outdoors. The AC400 tie clip secures the cable to clothing.
