The ZTE MF920N is a pocket-sized mobile hotspot. We especially recommend it for running Sony action cams such as the RX0 II from an iPad: it sets up a Wi-Fi network so you can control several cameras at the same time.
You can also put a data SIM card in the router. That way, on a location shoot you can get laptops, tablets, phones and other Wi-Fi devices online without relying on the venue's Wi-Fi.
Network and Wi-Fi
The router uses 4G LTE (FDD and TDD) and falls back to 3G (UMTS/HSPA+) and 2G (GSM) where LTE is not available. Download speeds reach up to 150 Mbit/s. Actual speeds depend on your carrier and coverage. The Wi-Fi is single-band (802.11b/g/n, Wi-Fi 4), and up to 16 devices can connect at the same time. Keep in mind that all of them share one mobile connection, which matters for data-heavy tasks such as uploading footage or streaming.
Power and operation
A built-in 2000 mAh battery lets you work without a power outlet. You charge it via Micro-USB with the included cable and USB charging adapter. The display on the front shows battery level, signal and messages at a glance. On the side are the power button, a WPS button for quick pairing and the reset hole.
