RED KOMODO 6K Set

KOMODO is the newest entrant and the latest innovation in the RED family of cinema cameras. Not only does it boast a shockingly small form-factor along with a 6K global shutter sensor, but also allows users to take advantage of a versatile RF mount for maximum lens choice flexibility and the latest evolution of RED’s REDCODE RAW Codec. The KOMODO also features a high-resolution touchscreen for navigating menus and reviewing footage, phase-detect auto-focus, 4K output, and compatibility with the all new RED CONTROL app for wired or wireless control.

RED has broken new ground with the release of the KOMODO 6K Digital Cinema Camera, bringing its legendary image quality and colour science to an ultra-compact all-in-one design that weighs just 0.95kg and measures approximately 10x10x10cm. Key to achieving this was the use of Canon’s RF lens mount and KOMODO’s 19.9MP Super35 CMOS sensor, which features Global Shutter technology. This sensor can produce images with a dynamic range of 16+ stops and eliminates rolling shutter artefacts. Users can also be assured of RED quality thanks to the ability to record up to 6K at 40 fps, 5K at 48 fps, 4K at 60 fps and 2K at 120 fps in REDCODE RAW, allowing incredible flexibility in post-production. KOMODO’s Beta v.1.5.0 firmware update adds support for 6K anamorphics, 4-channel audio, FTPS for remote offloading, support for Canon RF lens control rings and more.
