The new Vision Research Phantom VEO4K PL is a cinema-targeted, compact, ultra-slow-motion camera that is designed with a form factor similar to the Red Epic and Alexa Mini. This compact high speed camera features a 12-bit switchable rolling & global shutter sensor with up to 13.5 stops dynamic range, capturing up to 1000 fps at full 4K DCI (1970 fps in 2K DCI), 10Gb ethernet interface, CFast support and 72GB internal memory.
Supports Up To 4K Resolution
At 4K resolution the VEO4K offers super-35mm field of view and depth of field. All industry standard resolutions are available including a 2:1 Anamorphic mode.
Improved Latitude, Resolution and Sensitivity
The custom sensor captures intricate detail with impressive dynamic range and low noise. This means excellent image quality and low-light performance. From 15 up to 1000 fps there is no loss in dynamic range or quality. At vertical cropping, framerates up to 1200 fps are possible (4096×1716 px).
Maximum Internal RAM Supplied
All high speed Phantom VEO4K cameras come with the maximum 72GB internal RAM as standard. Shoot continuously for 5.7 seconds at 1000fps at 4K. Resulting in a shot lasting over 3 minutes 40 seconds on playback.
Post Processing
We highly recommend using the post-processing pipeline we developed for DaVinci Resolve to match main camera color science (LogC, RedLog3G10, CLog, S-Log2, S-Log 3, etc.). For your individual needs, the footage could be exported to ProRes or DNxHD through that process.
