With the newly developed APS-C sensor, the Sony FX30 offers everyday content creators and aspiring filmmakers a powerful yet accessible cinema camera to take their cinematic journey to new heights. It combines an imaging pipeline designed for film shooting with a comprehensive feature set and intuitive operation to create a complete system for all levels of filmmaking.

Features

The FX30’s advanced imaging system matches other options in Sony’s Cinema Line – capturing detailed 10-bit UHD 4K images at up to 120 fps, giving it the specifications of a true cinema camera. The newly developed 26MP APS-C Exmor R CMOS sensor and BIONZ XR processor are capable of producing high-quality 4K images in Super 35mm (16:9). This system is capable of capturing a dynamic range of 14+ stops and benefits from Dual Base ISO architecture to improve low-light performance.

Filmmakers can capture images that are ready for immediate release on projects with fast turnaround times, or opt for maximum quality and flexibility in post-production thanks to a wide range of image control options.

S-Cinetone uses the same color science as Sony’s advanced cinema cameras, including the VENICE range, with natural midtones, soft colors and smooth highlight roll-off.

Picture Profiles such as S-Log3 and HLG enable the capture of images with extended dynamic range and more flexibility for editors.

Creative Looks can be incorporated into recorded footage to create a specific mood during shooting and minimize the need for editing.

Recording / Frame Rate Options
