Designed for livestream and broadcast application, the Blackmagic Design Mobile Live Editing Unit 4K is a compact, powerful and ready-to-operate solution. Based on the popular ATEM 1 M/E Production Studio 4K, the unit offers ten single-link 6G-SDI inputs and one HDMI input on the rear (shared with one of the SDI inputs). You can connect up to 10 4K sources, featured by a reference video input for synchronizing using tri-level or black burst sync. The Unit also includes the Smart Videohub 40×40 with as well as the ATEM 1 M/E Broadcast Panel for maximum flexibility.

The switcher provides eight video outputs that are always active. It features two SDI and one HDMI program output, both of which deliver UHD/HD/SD, with three pass-through (AUX) UHD/HD/SD outputs that can deliver a clean program feed without any downstream effects.

Furthermore, the switcher features a down-converted HD output for monitoring on an SDI-equipped HD monitor. Multiview monitoring is 1080i only over dedicated SDI or HDMI output, which allows you to view the program, preview, and eight live sources at the same time.

Livestream and Live Production

The outputs have embedded talkback audio for studio setups. Blackmagic Design Studio Cameras, as the optional available Micro Studio Cameras 4K can also be controlled from the switcher as well as the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K and 4K, connected trough our BiDirectional SDI/HDMI 3G Micro Converter.
